Welcome!

hello.  you have happened to stumble upon my site (probably thanks to ultimape).  i would like to tell you in this website the special qualities in Geodesic homes (it happens to be a science project).  i am doing in via the internet because most of the special qualitiesdo not apply and can be irrelevant due to the climate i live in, and may be better for flatlands and stormy areas.

GEODESIC HOMES

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A GEODESIC DOME?

A geodesic dome is a dome that is built using many triangular panels of concrete or plaster.  They are one of the strongest building structures, able to withstand the strength of tornadoes and many other weather hazards due to theyre dome structure. They are easy to build and cheap, can be linked together with other smaller domes for your own greenhouse or garage, which could also be put into the house. they can sustain any climate due to the shape, standing strong through anything. From what looks like such small space, the houses are surprisingly roomy.

Average Cost savings to Buyer (for 34 foot diameter)

Standard entrance/garage entrance: $295

Cupola: $325

Window dormer: $245

1st or 2nd floor dormer: $285  The R-36 insulation: $1,021 dollars.

-These homes, as I have already said, are also space efficient due to the shape. It is known that domes can hold a lot because of the slanted shape.  Take a Volkswagen Beetle for example. They look small on the outside, but on the inside they are surprisingly roomy.  They are also strong built, which offers support to all sides of the object no matter where the pressure is coming from

-The domes are also energy efficient because of their shape.  Because they are spherical, light doesnt have to travel through a large hallway, having to light up an entire room with 10 bulbs, but the light doesnt have to spread far because of the smaller diameter and circular shape.  Thus of course making electrical bills smaller.
